ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN KERUSAKAN JALAN TANJUNG PANGKAL PADA STA 0+000 - 2+500 MENGGUNAKAN METODE PCI DAN RCI

The increasing population of West Pasaman Regency can have an impact on traffic problems, which can be seen on roads that are frequently used by vehicles. Road infrastructure that is burdened by high and repetitive traffic volumes is a factor in the decline in road quality, both structural conditions and functional conditions are also damaged. Jalan Tanjung Pangkal, West Pasaman is a class III arterial road that connects the road from Nagari Kapar to Tanjung Pangkal. Arterial roads are roads that can be passed by private vehicles with a width not exceeding 2.5 meters, a length not exceeding 18 meters, and the heaviest axle load permitted is 8 tonnes. However, the private vehicles that pass along the Tanjung Pangkal road weigh 15 tons, which is more than the permitted capacity. This research aims to determine the types of damage found on the surface layers of roads and to determine the index value of Tanjung Pangkal Road, Pasaman District, West Pasaman Regency. The two methods used for this research are the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and Road Condition Index (RCI) methods. The PCI value is in the range 0-100 and for RCI the range is 0-10. The types of damage found on the 2.5 kilometer stretch of road were holes, patches, crocodile skin cracks, longitudinal cracks and subsidence, but the most dominant was potholes. The PCI method obtained a CDV value of 75 (PCI value = 25) and the RCI method obtained a value of 1.61. After obtaining the results from both methods, the condition of the road during reconstruction maintenance is obtained.
