EVALUASI SALURAN DRAINASE JALAN TALUAK KECAMATAN BANUHAMPU KABUPATEN AGAM

Flooding and inundation are often serious problems. One of them occurs on Jalan Taluak, Banuhampu District, Agam Regency. This study will examine the problems of drainage channels which include drainage channel design, channel storage capacity that is unable to accommodate rainwater, causing flooding that disrupts community activities and traffic flow. This study aims to analyze the performance of the drainage system on Jalan Taluak, Banuhampu District, Agam Regency. To calculate the intensity of rain used Mononobe formula with a certain return time. The distribution used to obtain the discharge plan is normal distribution because the value of x2 < x2cr (3.2 < 7.184). Based on calculations and existing conditions in the field, the results obtained, that the drainage channel on Jalan Taluak, Banuhampu District, Agam Regency is not able to accommodate the discharge of water. For this reason, a cross-sectional channel with a size of 1.00 x 1.20 m is planned, so that the planned channel discharge is obtained with Q 2.63 m3 / sec. From the results of the analysis carried out, it can be concluded that the planned channel can accommodate the design flood discharge, with the comparison Q channel plan > Q return period.
